Adult Literacy Program     Like to read?  Help someone experience that joy too!  Together with our partners at Central Arizona College, we will offer training to four tutors and one coordinator.

Ongoing Needs

Hospice Family Care   Hospice Family Care is in need of volunteers to support their patients with your compassion and companionship or to help run errands for their terminally ill patients and their families.

TRIAD     Many senior citizens live alone and may not have daily contact. Need a person that is willing to go to a senior citizen's house with a 24-hour notice four to six time a month to help repair the alarm unit--training will be provided.

Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun     Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers to assist in the construction of homes, answer phones, greet visitors, filing, assist the new homeowner, pick up donations or stock shelves In construction.

Apache Junction Reach Out Food Bank     Summertime opportunities for volunteers to repackage and sort food, unload trucks, restock and help distribute to clients--two shifts available.         

Chamber of Commerce     Would you like to meet, greet, answer phones and give out directions and information about our wonderful area?  Then this is for you!

Helping Hands of Gold Canyon     Volunteers needed to assist residents who have suffered major illnesses with driving to doctor appointments, pick up prescriptions and helping with light housekeeping, laundry, food preparations or reading.

Angel Acres     Help children through horse therapy--Saturdays only through April (except if training).

Canine Companions     Volunteers are needed to serve the paraplegic with assistance and the blind by guiding them with the help of "man's best friend".
